IQ Verify Recommend HX Car Park Management for Certification against the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice (2013)

HX Car Park Management Ltd (HX) was founded on the ethos of raising standards and quality of provision within car park management - from sustainability and compliance through to more bespoke customer centred solutions.

Recently, the ANPR systems used by HX were independently audited against the best practice requirements of the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice (2013). 

This audit was conducted by IQ Verify, a recognised Certification Body and one of only three organisations currently qualified to audit against this Code.

We are delighted to announce that the audit was a success and HX have now been formally recommended for certification. Certification will make HX one of only a handful of private sector organisations who can demonstrate conformity to these recognised industry requirements.

“Although it has been estimated that there are over six million cameras in the UK alone, at the time of writing just 100 organisations have achieved certification to the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice. Of these, only 10 operate within the field of private car park management.

• The office of the Surveillance Camera Commissioner (SCC) was created under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 to regulate CCTV systems, including: CCTV (Closed Circuit Television); BWV (Body Worn Video); UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems); ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and AFR (Automatic Facial Recognition).
