IQ Verify Recommend HX Car Park Management for Certification against the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice (2013)Thu Jan 2021
HX Car Park Management Ltd (HX) was founded on the ethos of raising standards and quality of provision within car park management - from sustainability and compliance through to more bespoke customer centred solutions.
Recently, the ANPR systems used by HX were independently audited against the best practice requirements of the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice (2013).
This audit was conducted by IQ Verify, a recognised Certification Body and one of only three organisations currently qualified to audit against this Code.
We are delighted to announce that the audit was a success and HX have now been formally recommended for certification. Certification will make HX one of only a handful of private sector organisations who can demonstrate conformity to these recognised industry requirements.
Laurence Clarke, Director of IQ Verify, stated:
“Although it has been estimated that there are over six million cameras in the UK alone, at the time of writing just 100 organisations have achieved certification to the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice. Of these, only 10 operate within the field of private car park management.
Having recently delivered a rigorous audit of the ANPR based surveillance systems and processes used by HX Car Park Management, IQ Verify are pleased to confirm that we have now recommended HX to the Commissioner for Certification.
Perhaps now more than ever it is essential to demonstrate organisational conformity to the latest compliance standards. It is therefore exciting to see a private sector company so clearly committed to raising the quality benchmark within the sector.
Congratulations to the full team at HX Car Park Management for all of their hard work.”
Kenny Marland, Managing Director and Founder of HX Car Park Management, added:
“The private parking industry has evolved a lot over the past few years and we are committed to continuing to raise the standards. This certification provided a perfect way to demonstrate this, to both our clients and to those utilising the land that we manage. We are a heavily accredited company and are always looking to pursue challenges that will help us to improve as a business.
Despite the audit procedure being contactless due to the pandemic, we received fantastic support from our IQ Verify auditor throughout the process.
Being able to achieve standards such as the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice only highlights further to our clients that HX as a business does everything possible to ensure best practice across everything we do as a business.”
